We can't order pay per view movies from Sky since we went to VOIP at home, anyone know of a solution to this?

Phone up using their 0800 number and do it that way. A bit slower, but it gets the job done.

Before ditching MySKy, I did manage to get it working using a Linksys WRTP54G and VFX. But it is dependent on exactly which ATA you are using as well as the version of Sky decoder, and VoIP provider. Too many variables, so you are better just to use the phone.

Can't you do this online these days?? Also from my experience if your not the person on your account authorized to talk to them they won't talk to you. My wife tried to do this a couple of years ago when I was away and they would not talk to her only to myself. She was not too pleazed..

Yes, I just checked and you can do it via MyAccount. Wasn't available last time I looked.

You don't need to talk to anyone to book a PPV via phone. It's an automated IVR system, so you just need your Sky PIN and that's it.

Ring the 0800 number. Might also pay to contect Sky and ask them when they're finally going to enter the 21st century and activate the ethernet port on their device. With UFB now reality the inability to guarantee the performance of low speed data devices over VoIP is a real issue.

Sky wouldn't let me book an on demand movie (whatever they call it) by phone. PPV was okay but a bit inconvenient waiting for it to start etc. This was about a month ago.

Lol they are the ultimate in old school. Don't they still run on that Pegasus billing system (I think its called) from when they first started? But yes, then it would be easier to stream isky too.

Yep. Ridiculous this whole modem dial up thing is....

You would think the PPV movies would be high margin for them and they would allow their high value customers (the ones more likely to have UFB) to easily pay for a PPV.

Obviously not.
