Xlite with Orcon

Does any kind person know how to set up X Lite on Orcon ADSL2?

I emailed Orcon and believe it or not, they had never heard of Xlite and couldnt help.

I would appreciate some help

XLite is a software (Linux) based SIP VOIP phone package - of course they won't know what it is, nor would they provide technical support for it. Are you on a ADSL2 package that provides VOIP services?

Who are you planning on using for your VoIP service?

If you want to use Xlite you need a VoIP provider. You should be addressing configuration with them, not your ISP.

Orcon do not provide a residential SIP VoIP services that will with with Xlite. Your best option is 2talk.

I thought Orcon was a VOIP provider?

Orcon provide SIP trunks for business customers and provide SIP connectivity for Orcon Homehub's if you're wanting more than a single phoneline. None of this means they directly support Xlite for a softphone.

Thats pretty much what i was saying - you need to get a provider that has this service.. 2Talk or Xnet both provide VOIP Services to residental customers. (Myself being an Xnet customer)
