Hi there, we have just got a Swann DVR4-1200, and most things are working fine. However we cannot seem to fully use the "Playback" tab of the web viewer in Internet Explorer on Windows 7. We can search the recordings fine (and it finds them) but when we try to play one by clicking the Play button it says "Create File Failed!" in an error box, and no video plays. When we use the Download button instead of the Play button, we get a similar error but the wording is "Create Directory Failed!". For both errors, the title is "HiDvrOcx".
Meanwhile, we CAN view all the previous recordings directly on the attached monitor by using the Swann remote to search and play them. It works perfectly, and this tells us that the recordings are actually being saved fine.
We've googled this issue and have not had much success. Can you please let us know how to fix this, so we may use the web viewer to access previous recordings on our PC laptop.
Alternatively, we also have an iPad and have installed the Swann iPad viewer app. It works fine and we can view the live cameras, but 1can't any buttons to access the "Detail Files" section to view previous recordings on the iPad. Can you please confirm whether this feature should be in the iPad version, or not?
