Hello everyone,

I am in Auckland and I want to apply for WHS visum. Unfortunately, for my country there is such a little quote and many people applies every year. This quote is usually full in 20 minutes and servers on immigration sites of New Zealand are really busy. So it looks like you are waiting 5 minutes for loading 1 page.

I want to be sure, that I can get the visa, so I am looking for some place, where is stable and fast connection (I guess upload is he priority). Maybe the best option is backbone internet? I just have no idea, where to find the right place to go. This quote opens at 5th March at 10:00. So I need some place just for 2 hours between 9:00-11:00.

I would appreciate any advice or help. Thank you for your answers.

WHS visum?

If you're not here permanently, just go to an internet cafe and buy some time there.

I think the OP may be referring to the Working Holiday Visa application. If so, it doesn't look to be time limited, you can apply any time. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/

I take it you are from Czech Republic?

With NZ internet you wont see any real difference if you are on a 100Gb/s connection or a 100Mb/s residential connection if the server is overloaded. I would suggest that wherever you complete the application from, that you prepare a text file with all your details in from which you can copy and paste from to accelerate your data input speed. Do you have any idea  in advance of the fields you will be required to complete?

Yes, Working holiday visa for Czech republic. I will use auto-fill addon on chrome, so I dont have to write anything. It´s just about loading the site.

I think there should be a difference in connection options and someone told me, that it could be faster on place, where you are on a backbone internet. I just dont know how to find the right place, when they are connected on the backbone. I was thinking about internet cafe, but I dont know.

As @gbwelly says, internet in NZ is generally very good. If the connection is good enough to watch Youtube, then it should be plenty reliable enough for accessing a website. The instability or issue is the server end, so not much you can do about it.

What im reading is that the OP mentions, "quota is small and usually the quota is exhausted within 20 minutes".....   and thats probably where the issue of intense latency begins if indeed INZ are "opening gates for a period of time and then closing"...... have they created a frustrating issue in the way they manage this process? (or do they simply slap up a 'sorry closed' when the server busts its nut due to the workload)?

Oh yes !   Hmmm.... that was my fault for commenting before coffee this morning !

So this gets weird... I guess OP should tell us the web address for the site they are trying to access.....

I'd find it very amusing if INZ are holding timed lotteries without having suitable infrastructure in place....

You could have the best internet connection in the world, it won't help you if the website you are accessing is overloaded

Presumably it would be wherever the currently disabled 'Apply Now' button goes when you click it.
