Hello All

I have just moved into a new property with a very long driveway 280M and am currently on VDSL at around 17Mbps which is fine

My question is i have 2 cables of 2 pair outdoor phone cabling running the length of the driveway would it be possible to join multiple pairs of wires together to increase the cross sectional area of the cores to make the distance seem smaller ? ( just using my rudimentary knowledge of the phone system combined with  being a electrician to get to this conclusion)

Your have better luck opting to put your modem at the end of the driveway.. this is what i was going to do with mine.

Got half way through doing it and a wisp moved into the area.

i was going to go from 20/1 to about 25/5 compared to 200/50.... at far less cost.. pretty easy choice ;)

no bloody way!

they have scampered from the area since the VF RBI plans announcement and they also soiled a few locals which followed through court for it.. Who reselling VF 3G in an area that literally has no reception at all killed the last little bits in the air they could squeeze out.

There is a real wisp out here, great guy behind it, full cambium gear for CPE/POP.

I've only made his network cry a few times... Literally the worst customer i'm sure. He's earned my respect though.

You mean he hasn't booted you off his network...... Yet.... Until that one time you annoy him just that little bit too much.
