hey everyone.

i am a mega internet user and have just got a new flat SOOOOO i need a new broadband plan.
i do alot of surfing and downloading alot of which is p2p

i need a plan that includes home phone and is fast all the time, well at least like 150kb on utorrent 24/7

i would need maybe 80gb+ cap or maybe less if there unlimited downloads during off peak.

i could handel slower download speeds on unlimited if streaming speeds were consistant and not lagging. i dont game, just download.

i am looking at spending up to $120 per month.

any ideas?

sorry if iv used dodgy lingo or started another thread about the same thing but i need answers!!!!

Do you mean 150 KB/s (Kilobytes) because 150 kb/s (Kilobits) is only 18.7 KB/s?

Basically your budget rules out all the good performing ISP's and your performance requirement rules out all the unlimited plans (Worldnet and Slingshot) as they have terrible performance.

So that leaves... nothing!

Unless you are willing to schedule things to be downloaded offpeak in which case you can look at:

- Slingshot normal plan with free offpeak
- Snaps normal Plan + Snap Nights (which is $5 per 3 nights of free offpeak)

Ragnor:...
- Xnet Torrential
...

This plan is no longer available.. so options are very limited! im in a similar boat with needing over 80gb for a decent price, a flat of 4 guys and we use 80gb without downloading a lot.. Just having a plan with free youtube would probably cut 20gb a month off our usage as music is streamed from youtube most days on set playlists

If you're willing to sacrifice the landline and you have an on account vodafone mobile

Vodafone Naked
30GB for $69.95

Then "double data" twice ($30.60 each) will give you 90GB for ~$140

http://www.vodafone.co.nz/naked-broadband/ultimate-naked.jsp

If you really need a flat phone line add ~$12 for Xnet VFX voip service or use 2talk.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

if you are a customer and log on then it is easy to find. They bought it out for loyal snap customers and they dont promote it at all to people wanting to join, so it is hard to find.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Do Vodafone let you double your data twice now? I was under the impression that they didn't like doing it.
