Hello, I have been having problems with my computer since yesterday evening. During the day yesterday, we had a power outage, however my computer was turned off but still plugged in. When I cam home, I turned on the computer, and I got a "BIOS ROM Checksum" error. I rebooted, and got nothing, I rebooted, and then I got a screen that was going through my boot devices (no POST messages displayed), however my HDDs weren't listed, as it stopped at my floppy drive. So last night I turned the computer off and decided to let it sit.

This morning I come back, and try to start it and I'm getting BIOS beeps, one long one, which according to the manual means there is a memory / video memory problem. There is no video output. So I try to remove all the components and reinsert them one at a time. I start out with 2 sticks of ram and one of the video cards, along with the cpu, etc..  Using this configuration I still get the beep code. Then I removed stuff again, and switch around the connectors its all in. This time I get a 1 long beep, 2 short, which means the RAM is in the incorrect slot. So I switch it all back to the slots I used previously. Now I am getting no beeps, and still no display. I've tried 2 video cards, 3 monitors, and 4 sticks of ram.

Does any one have any ideas as to what it could be beyond this?

Specs:
Mobo: ASUS P5N32-E SLI
CPU: Q6600
RAM: 4x 1GB Corsair Ballistix DDR2-800
HDD: 3x SATA 3.0 750GB
PSU: 1000W OCZ Game Extreme
Video: 2x GeForce 8800GTS

Thanks

Did you try pulling the cmos battery out of the mainboard (sometimes there's a jumper to clear cmos - check mb manual). Hopefully this will reset it back to defaults and you'll get a post. I wouldn't have thought a power cut when your pc is off would fry anything....hopefully not anyway.
