Welcome to Geekzone...

Where were these photos? ActiveSync will only synchronise the special ActiveSync folder under \My Documents - unless you're using a third party software.

Thanks for answering :)
The photos were in the My Pictures folder. I have searched every directory on the phone and on my laptop so I am kinda prepared to have lost this round. I was hoping that the sync was reversible. Any suggestions?

Ok... But My Pictures on your Pocket PC or on your computer? ActiveSync will only deal with this folder if it was \My documents\My Pictures on your Pocket PC.

Remember that if you delete a file from your desktop and if the file is on the synchronised folder it will also be removed from the Pocket PC.

If you have deleted it on the desktop then it should be on the recycle bin, but there's no restore if it was deleted from the Pocket PC.
