Can anyone tell me how to get WAP working on Windows Mobile 5.0?

The Help system on the HTC Apache says it is possible from the Start>Settings>Connections>Connections>, but a number of variables are required.
For Example
* The WAP Gateway
* a Proxy Server Name
then..
* Username
* Password
* Domain

What WAP pages would you want to view on this device

You will not be able to authenticate or connect to the Telecom MAG (Mobile Acess Gateway) that serves up the Xtra WAP.

You can however just view WAP pages over the internet as the browser supports WAP. Just connect to the internet and put in the WAP URL.

I'm trying to locate the home page for WAP at Xtra. I think it is http://info.waptrial.co.nz

Hi Stupot again.

Re your comment Jama for the HTC Apache using MS Windows Mobile 5.0

"the internet as the browser supports WAP. Just connect to the internet and put in the WAP URL".

Think your right, but tried http://info.waptrial.co.nz and it doesn't work. Browser says "locating" then timesout after a minute or so.

You misunderstood my post. Telecom/Xtra WAP pages are not accessible over the internet. You have to authenticate to the MAG which you can not do on an Apache via the internet.

Waptrial is the Telecom corporate WAP portal
