Hey guys, I've seen a few (locked) posts about this, just wondering if anyone has any experience or suggestions.
For now i'm on VDSL with the Huawei HG630B router supplied by Spark. Since we got it it's had some WiFi dropping issues, especially with my wife's Ipad and Iphone (other posts suggested apple products were bad). Also though it happens periodically with my Android phone.
This is all fairly ok though, can deal with that. But we have a couple of different TV viewing options. We have TiVo and using Vuze to convert we transfer video files to the TV player over WiFi. Sometimes the transfer stalls or completely stops for no apparent reason. Other times it's fine.
Now we've got an Amazon Fire TV stick and am using Plex to stream to the TV but we're noticing that it too seems to lose WiFi so the stream stalls. Sometimes it kicks back in, other times it backs out to the previous screen as if it's totally lost connectivity.
I am assuming that this is the router doing this as we've had this WiFi dropping issue with other devices.
The router is in another room but the signal is good to very good consistently. I've updated the firmware on the router and set it to a fixed channel (11).
Anyone have any ideas, is it definitely the router or could something else be messing with our WiFi?
Any help would be much appreciated :)
