Hi,

My Netgear wireless router DG834Gv4 about a month ago started to drop connection, at first it was not too bad but after a couple of weeks it got progressively worse, the DSL light would flicker out then the Internet light would follow, and after about 5 to 10 seconds the DSL light would flicker back on and internet would be re-established, this got worse and occasionally i would be unable to connect back to my ISP.

I did some research and things were pointing to the wiring so i checked my phone point and replaced it with a new one. I upgraded firmware reset factory settings, Everything worked fine until tonight its been 2 weeks with not a single "drop off"..................?

All of the above points to the router being faulty, but to be honest i am completely baffled and im beginning to pull my hair out.

Any answers are gratefully received

I have a DG834 too, I've seen 'random' disconnections (at the ISP side they were logged as 'user request') but really the only way to prove it is to swap it out and see if the problem persists. With my issue being random, it's been hard to prove...
