Hey, if anyone has any ideas or solutions to my problem, I'd love to hear them!

I have one of those cheap-as DSE MP3 players, 128MB, you know the deal.
I've had no problems with it so far, until I recently deleted the songs off of it (Just dragged them into the trash - I use a Mac)
and now the stupid thing won't turn on!

But when I hook it up to the computer via it's USB cable, it registers on my computer, I can add songs to it, and use it as per normal.
... however should I remove that USB from the computer, it instantly turns off and can't be revived unless attached to the computer once more.

Kinda pointless having an MP3 player than only plays when connected to the computer!!

Any thoughts? Did I accidentally delete something when I got rid of the songs?

Maybe the battery is dead?

Well it was one of my two rechargeable batteries, and usually if batteries are dead, it will show the little symbol for it as being depleted. (it shows it as full as the last time I used it - when I deleted those songs - over half way)
But I'll stick them both in the charger again, perhaps that one was a dud. If I don't return, you'll know that was it and I am too ashamed to come back~ lol

thanks for replying
