We have some 8015 Dect Phones that have been working well until recently. Basically it's 1 base and 2 handsets. Recently the handsets won't operate. When they sit on the base they show full battery, if you take them off they show full battery and display time/date.

The moment you press any button, they turn off, like they were power cycled.

Anyone seen this behaviour before?

Stuffed batteries would be my suggestion. See this every now and again with gigaset phones when the batteries are no good.

That's what all my phones have done when the batteries were end of life.

If they are standard AA/AAA ones then run to DSE and grab some before they sell out, actually seems their house brand ones are ok.

unfortunately they are uniden phones so not AAA's unless you really feel the need to make your own. (or if dse actually has the correct pack)

my advice bin them and get a Panasonic that do run AAA batteries.

My Unidens have battery packs and from memory were hard to find and will be worse now DSE has gone.

actually they had quite a few various packs for phones on the rack. Problem is they are probably antiques now so stuffed before you even use them.

I replaced all my Uniden battery packs last year. A good source for these packs is/was battsrus at that time.

New batteries seemed to have done the trick! Thanks for the advice. Still might consider the purchase of some of the other uniden stuff later on, seems like a unit that natively does bluetooth could be pretty convenient and considerably less expensive than the SIP native Wifi Phones.
