I have an iPod and an iPod Shuffle and I can interface either of them with iTunes without any problems.

When you initially set up your iPod (or if you use the 'reset' function in the software updater), you will be given the opportunity to give your iPod a name. I would recommend that you give each of your iPod Shuffles a unique name, which should prevent any possible conflicts.

Previous post is correct - my kids have a shuffle each on one PC with itunes - which ever one is pluged in will be the one you are accessing.

I dont think that you can have them both plugged in at once tho.

Thanks, but I am no where closer?

What do you mean my updater software, and reset buttons?

Can anyone detail point by point, how to complete this process. I have Itunes Version 6, and 2 Ipod shuffles. I want both to run on 1 Itunes software? And have the same songs?

It's not entirely clear what you're trying to do. Are you trying to set up your system so that the two shuffles are 'autofilled' with exactly the same songs? Or are you happy for the two shuffles to have different songs on them, as long as they are both syncing to the same iTunes library?

Then the process should be this simple:
 - Plug in the first Shuffle.
 - Hit 'autofill'.
 - Disconnect the first Shuffle and plug in the second.
 - Hit 'autofill' again.

If this isn't working, then you'll need to give specific details about what problems you're having.

When I plug the 2nd Ipod in, it doest register with the Itunes? When going into Preferences and Ipod it shows no connection?

The first thing I would try would be to do a reset:

 - Plug in the iPod that you are having a problem with. Ensure that the other one is disconnected.
 - Use the Finder to navigate to the folder 'applications/utilities' and run the program called 'ipod updater'.
 - Click the 'reset' button, then close the iPod Updater when this process is complete.
 - You will probably now be given the opportunity to give the iPod a name. Assign it a name that differs from the name assigned to your other iPod.
 - Now try autofilling both of your iPods (one at a time!).
