well, i'm finally getting somewhere... it's been a hassle so far!

firstly, "www.kiwibank.co.nz/mobile", their nice and snappy web address won't work as it requires too many redirects so safari denies it.
i've found i can get to the page now on my iphone by bookmarking "https://www.kiwibank.co.nz/mobile/login.asp?"... not quite the quick addy!
anyways, the site has an invalid certificate according to my laptop and my iphone, a bit dicey for a bank you'd think.
Now the big problem i can't work around is every time the login page loads the small security image fails to load!!! damn frustrating!
so there's no way to log in. at all. without the 'enter text below' picture, i'm stuck. so why the hell won't it load? arrrrrgh!!!!!!!
anyone had the same, or got any suggestions? please? please?

originally posted under mac os instead of mac os mobile but in my defense, i'm not a complete moron!

thanking you.

UPDATE: i got through once, via 3g, but nothing since. it fails without fail now. very frustrating. brand new iphone, freshly updated to 2.2 Is there anything else i should be checking? Can't log into iphone.vodafone either. enter my number and password and it just reloads the login page. and yep, i'm typing the right thing... very carefully...

heeeeeeeeeelp!

i rang kiwibank a few days back about it and they were very helpful and even though they couldn't just give me a solution over the phone (fair enough, i don't expect every CS person to know the ins and outs of mobile internet access etc) they promised to look into it, and now it seems to be working fine for me so... i have no idea whats changed but its all go.

so i will cease to wave my arms about and no longer howl in frustration.

damn. spoke too soon. haven't been able to get it loading again all weekend. and whats with the 3G network? it's more painful than dial-up. should performance be adversely affected by being in a moving car? in central auckland and on the motorway?

Hiya,

Joe here from Kiwibank. Sorry to hear that you're having troubles logging in to mobile internet banking.

It's wierd that you got invalid certificates - they are all up to date. Can you confirm if this error is still occuring, and if it occurs on both 3G and on Wifi?

And over the last weekend when you couldn't log in - specifically what was happening? Would the login page just not load?

If the login page appears, but you get rejected, I could look into the logs and might be able to see what is happening. If you'd like me to do this, drop me a line on mobile.ideas@kiwibank.co.nz, with you details (phone type, date and time of unsucessfull login, and access number. If you dont' want to email you access number, fair enough, just send through you name and I can find it that way).

Hi Joe, thanks for your reply. I’m getting more regular success but it’s still sporadic. I haven’t had the invalid cert pop up for a while so that’s good! Today I’m logging in fine over 3g. The only issue has always seemed to be it hangs on loading the security text image, and I get a broken link image.

(un)fortunately it’s working perfectly today so I can’t complain! But maybe it’s good from here out. Just using www.kiwibank.co.nz/mobile seems to work now too so that’s good as gold.

i'll fire you an email when it next plays up and i can give you a time and date.

cheers,

andy
