My son's iPod was stolen at school yestetday. I turned on the locator and nothing...

As is was looking at his FB  these insanley rude comments to his classmates (girls) were on his IM. Needless to say he was going to be in deep trouble for these comments.... fortunately his life was spared because these messages were being sent from his touch which had been taken earlier that afternoon by a classmate.

I called Apple and nothing resolved etc, Problem aside from it stolen whomever has taken it is causing him grief and creating many enemies... You dont tell a girl to get on your D***K and many other statements.

Any idea how to locate it? I know it has GPS. I filed a police report and went to the school. surely with all this technology there has to be something or maybe not... Thanks Jeni

I don't like your chances.

Change his passwords for Facebook etc so they can't use those services any more.

Hi, Jeni, the itouch (as opposed to an iphone) only has wifi capability in it, no GPS nor any geo location based on cellular sites, therefore can only determine its location if its connected to a WiFi AP that has geo info enabled, which 99.999% dont, so chances are it has no idea where it is.

As scott says chances are pretty much zilch on getting it back, but change those passwords for sure.

Best of luck
Cyril
