That seems to be acceptable speeds, the upload may be a little low, but should be ok.

At 16dB downstream attenuation I would expect it to be quite a bit faster than 11mbps. Im about 2km away from the exchange and get around 10-12mbps. Would have thought it was fine to play games on though. Have a look at the sticky in the Broadband forum about wiring.

Edit:Ignore what I just said..... You down rate is at 17mbps. Throughput is just down a bit. Guess this is the awesome slingshot service lol.

Out of curiosity, what attenuation are you getting?

Just correcting the OP for future posters: Is my internet speed normal?
The OP seems to be having difficulty playing an online server to do with Warcraft 3. His line stats appear to be fine.

Just a few questions regarding the problems you are having:

Are you able at all to connect to the gaming servers? Or is it more that the game server runs slow due with high lag?
Have you done a trace route for the latency of the game servers you are connecting to?
Have you considered the location of these servers, and if there is any alternate in perhaps New Zealand/ Australia/ West Coast USA?

A number of issues can effect the ability to play an online game. Hopefully we can at least eliminate some for you.

Edit: No need for caps, can read just fine in lower text im sure thanks.

Hi,

Your line details look fine, are you only having issues with Battle.net? Further to Genfres question, are you on the US-West server? This is the only server NZ/AUS can use from personal experience. The other thing is that if you are playing custom games on Battle.net such as Dota, Tower Defence etc., these are player hosted so experiences will vary depending on the host's equipment and connection.

If you are experiencing issues with other games, sites, streaming please let me know and I will look into it for you.

Thanks,
Ben
