Hello,

We moved in this area recently from St Albans, and have been struggling to get proper signal as our calls continue to disconnect.

Usually we get 'E' (EDGE) network with 2 bars and on some occasions 'H' (HSPA) with 2-3 bars if we are lucky.

Unfortunately, this is the case with my wife's phone too though she is on a differdnt (skinny) network.

In St Albans we had faster speed on mobile network than wifi and I coild watch videos online, do video chat, and other high data streaminv stuff. However, in Hoon Hay we struggle to open even geekzone website.

Is it normal in the Hoon Hay area? What are our options to get better connectivity?

Much appreciate your help in advance.

Vinny

Have you tried a Vodafone handset there as well?

Three 2 degree towers are all at least 1 km range at Hendersons/Halswell, Barrington/Frankleigh and near Hilmorton Hosp.  Telecom tower (Skinny) in Sparks Road at 600 metres. Vodafone tower is in Lewis St only 100 metres or from you. I would change to Voda.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.
