Hi Everyone

I have a Samsung 2degrees phone. For a while now my phone drops network but all bars are showing as if i've got full reception. I get no error message to say i have no reception. I have to ring out to make sure that my phone is properly working, if it isn't i have to do a restart and sometimes this is every couple of days. I went to the local 2degrees store and they checked my sim and it works in another device, I have checked that my software that itis upto date. But i dont think this is a software problem because everything software related on my phone is working ok. Its just the reception....

Hi there, sorry to hear of your issue with your Samsung phone. We can have it sent off for you and looked at by Samsung's repairers if you return it to the store with proof of purchase. In the meantime please PM us your number, the phone model, IMEI number (dial *#06# and it will appear on screen) and where you are having connection issues.

Thanks

Are you sure the handset is not camping onto another network?

Also approx what location?

Do you have roaming enabled? As if not and you are on the edge of a 2degrees coverage area, it wont be able to roam to Vodafone.

Roaming is not possible onto all Vodafone sites

My husband has the exact same problem with his Samsung xcover3 which we bought in jan 16,  we have been to the 2deg shop several times. The sim has been changed, a factory reset done and the phone sent to Samsung under warranty, which came back as a nothing wrong with it. It is still  intermittently not sending or receiving txts and phone calls. It is not a signal prob as we both have full bars on our phones and mine will work ok and his not.

on Sat it done it again so we went back to 2deg and showed them the failed messages and calls, he said he can see there is a problem and if it was up to him he would swap the phone but all he could do is send it back to Samsung which seems a waste of time.

has anybody got any clues

Yes 2Degrees coverage is not strong enough so handset camps onto VodafoneNZ or Spark for emergency calls only

Just cause handset is showing full coverage does not mean it's attached to the 2Degrees network

Next time drag down from top and see if handset is displaying SOS calls or Emergency calls only

Do as advised above next time it happens, look for SOS or Emergency calls only
