Hi I have a 2wire modem from Telecom which I would like to use with my new ISP, however the username realm appears to be locked to user@bbxtra.co.nz is there a way to change the username to use the modem with my new ISP?

Not with the telecom firmware but if you want to hack it you can get it working with other providers

Yup, I'm on a 2wire modem using Orcon.

I'm using the qwest firmware from here:

Orcon is mega slow for me at the moment but it has worked well over the last month or so.

If your on a LLU plan - their + plans, any login password will be authenticated, so you dont need to worry about flashing it

if its on a telecom wholesale plan, you will need to .
