Ive recently fitted a uhf aerial so that the sony bravia can play digital tv channels. But it wont pick up or auto tune into all the channels, it gets some (TV3, 3+1, Four, Shooping Channel, and C4), but there is obviously most unattainable (TV1, TV2, Prime, etc). The set had come from my mothers place where she had recieved all the freeview channels so I'm a bit miffed. Ive got the uhf for the right area (fringe area) so cant work out why such a simple set up wont work properly. The Mrs is out for my blood. Help!
The signal strength seems ok, a bit rain fade stuff which didnt appear that it should be there, will see if I can locate the signal test on the set to confirm.

If you are only receiving one of the three muxes and it is pixellating then you obviously need a better antenna system. I presume pixellating is what you mean by "rain fade". Sounds like a masthead amp is needed and/or time to call in the pros. You can't tell what the signal strength is without a professional installer with a meter. The TVs strength indicator is not very accurate. However I've found anything over 25 - 30% seems OK.
