Hi All

First post in any of these forums, so be gentle    Tongue out

I have just built the following PC with the aim to get freeview - specs below

AMD Phenom 9550 Quad Core 2.2GHz,  Asus M2N-VM HDMI Socket 940 AM2 GEFORCE 7050PV, 4GB RAM, Hauppauge WinTV-HVR4000

My UHF aerial needs to be higher so getting crap UHF reception so want to just set up with DVB-S to start with but eventually get DVB-T sorted - any ideas on how you tell what LNB settings to use 11300 or 10750 as never used the sky dish at the property I am living at currently?

Tried getting Powercinema (supplied CD) working to no avail (following the posts on this forum) The version that came with the tuner was 49XX - and presume I need to be using 4410 one mentioned int hese forum.

Tried the: Software Patch Transponder list update and also the Registry Override for 10750/1100 Type LNBs  follwing this post http://www.freeviewshop.co.nz/forum/index.php/topic,413.0.html but didn't pick up any channels in the scan.

Think I'll flag Powercinema and start from scratch and either use gbpvr or mediaportal - does anyone recommend one or the other for my hardware?

I see Fossie has some good links to set these up.

Last question what HD format should I use for TV recorings as see FAT32 is not good?

Thanks in advance
