Hey ive been told this tv card will do what i want and just want to make sure, I want it to work through windows media centre on windows vista and windows 7 and for my xbox 360s to be able to watch tv as extenders on media centre. I have a crappy usb card which does this but its usb and pretty crap,It would be good to have a dual channel one and to have tv guide working. Will this hauppage 2200 be the tv card to go for?

yes the the card will do normal analog under windows vista and does Freeview HD under windows 7, the in-stream EPG doesn't work yet, and it does stream to the xbox 360

The HVR-2200 will deliver TSs from two digital terrestrial muxes and hardware encode two analogue channels (but not all at the same time) to your harddrive. The card will not provide you with an 8-Day EPG, only current and next programs. All the other stuff you want to do will be dependent on your computer your OS, your network, etc.
Just a word of warning, Haupaugge drivers can be a little flaky.

Yes it is possible to get Sky TV onto your computer using this card and view it in Windows Media Center, either with Vista or Windows 7. I have it going and it works very well. You have to use the S-Video output from the Sky Box, ( you cannot use the component video outputs or HDMI if you have MySKyHD). This uses up one of your two tuners. In Windows 7 you can then also get FreeviewHD TV which will use up your other tuner or in Vista you can set up normal analogue TV.

BUT you HAVE to have a Media Center compatible Infrared Remote Control attached to get Sky working in Media Center, which may or may not come bundled with your tuner. Doesnt seem reasonable, but this is the case. When setting it all up you have to remember to allocate only one tuner to either Sky and (Freeview or Analogue) or you get a bizzarre error telling you that you dont have any remote control installed even if you are using it and it works!
