Hi,

I have been having issues recording TDF on SBS HD with a WB Elements 1TB external hard drive.

I am running FW 1.08.26 and sat details are:

160.OE. Optus D1 12646 [v] 12600

Quality sits at about 75% most of the time...

The box keeps playing SBS HD but the remote stops working recording stops leaving corrupt files and has to be powered off. I had to reboot it twice last night...

Any suggestions as to what could be going wrong would be welcomed.

Ants

Try to use another USB HDD or go back to S/W version 108.09 until we have a new S/W fix this issue with WD Elements  . Cheers

Also for your info if you have formatted the HDD with earlier version than 108.22 and updated the receiver to this version or higher you need to format the HDD again as driver has been changed otherwise you would have such issues as reported . Cheers

Hi Thanks for that.

I have 3 hard drives, WD Elements 1TB, a Gigabyte with segate 320GB 2.5",  and a friend has a Segate 320GB external 2.5" with the 2.5" drives they were using power off the USB. All were formatted FAT32 using the PCR.

I have upgraded the firmware to 1.08.16 as per this post http://www.austech.info/decoders/41312-ultraplus-980hd-crashes-during-recording.html#post316638 I worked last night so I will try that for a few days and see how it goes.

Thanks Ants
