Hi guys, this is for the real geeks out there.

Few years ago, my friend sent me a link to a website, via MSN, and the address got my name in it. I can't remember exactly what is was but it might be something like "something.johnsmith.com". When I click on the link, the page basically contains an animated inspiration message with the name in the url address e.g. john smith. I tried some other name or any random name, it works as well. So I guess my question is has anybody came across any sites like this? If not, I wonder how it's done?? Almost like creating a domain name on the fly, I know how to create web pages but I suspect it's something done on the host server to allow this to happen and that's beyond my knowledge, any commends welcome, thanks guys!
