hi there,

Can anyone please tell me whether or not it is possible (and easy enough) to install Google Android 2.1 on an existing i-mate JasJam running on Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC HTC Innovation Herm100? Also, if possible, please provide any links where I can download the Android 2.1 os and any supporting forums threads on this issue. I know it's a big ask but any response is much appreciated.

Cheers
WN

Hi Weng,

Not only did you post this in the wrong forum (there's a Mobile handsets forum here), you missed the Forum Usage Guidelines completely.

Please read this first to learn how to get the best out of Geekzone: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=1046

And to answer your question: I don't think the JasJam supports Android. See this forum for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=306

You won't get Android going on that device. You won't have enough ram to boot Android. The TP2 which is a much newer device with more ram and even that struggles to run a cut down version of Android 2.1 and I have done this.

So for all intents and purposes, the answer for you is pretty much no.
