I've just heard back from our NZ expert and he says the gap in the TV1 guide was an issue with the incoming feed and I can now see that from tomorrow onwards, TV1 appears to be populated again.

What we would like is some additional xml feeds to help prevent this happening in future. I personally have little to no understanding of how this works, but if any keen Geekzoners can help, please PM me and I'll pass on your contact details to the developers.

Here is the latest news: A new headend has been built for NZ with all the channel fixes. It took longer to get the coding and encryption sorted than expected. Next they will work on the guide data shuffle over the coming weeks. The plan is to improve on having a system that takes its feeds from various locations, to ensure that if one feed has an issue, we are still filled in from another feed.

Yep, mine is the same TV1 good, 2 and 3 no good.

I had to delete all my season passes as it recorded one news at 6 nonstop all day..

The guys behind the scenes are well aware of this and hoping to tidy things up over the next few days. Please be patient.

BTW, I haven't heard from anyone with offers of alternative xmltv feeds. If you know of anyone or can provide support in this area, please PM me so that I can put you in contact with the developers. This will help long term reliability of the OzTivo guide in NZ.

Yes it has been

Strange that almost sounds like the software on the Tivo drive hasn't been patched (wont be related to the prom). Did you do the software modification yourself? If so I would try it again it will tell you if its already patched so no harm running it again.

Well i get the 140 and backdoor etc.

@TCSwivel... did you ever get that first Tivo 'activate' issue sorted?

I have modded another Tivo but when I press the Guide button I also get this Service Message re 'Please activate service'.

dial-in config code is 140 and all seemed normal. BUT...

This Tivo has not been plugged in for a LONG time and I seem to remember some talk of ensuring our Tivos were connected to mothership prior to official shut down. This one probably wasn't. what is the cure? Clone image from another modded Tivo?
