At the risk of opening myself to another boots on assault, it might be worth looking at a ban or tax or at least restriction on fast food advertising. Education can also include reducing the amount of motivational propaganda people are subjected to.

Bans on fast food advertising is a slippery slope. what is fast food? Is a curry from the Foodcourt fast food? is a take out restaurant meal fast food? Is a salad from New World fast food? Its open to abuse based on personal bias.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

At this point I think you're trolling. Every single post you have made is loaded with biased and overly emotive terms. Most people won't take a point of view seriously if it's clear that the source is hugely biased already.
Those you are able to influence will be the sort of people that believe in chemtrails and other conspiracy theories.
Personally, I think people should score "troll points" on GZ and when they hit a certain level, they lose posting rights for a while... The troll points can fall off their account at a certain rate, so they will regain posting rights at some point - however the more often they hit the limit, the slower the expiration rate of points.
Cheers - N

One fatal flaw in your argument is that you think it's to INCREASE the amount of fast food people eat. It might temporarily, but actually what happens when more players enter the market, is that they just steal market share from each other. So if TB enters the Market, then McD and KFC, and the others may lose customers that may have eaten at those establishments. It's just more choice. I don't see any issue with MORE choice.
That is a good point and no, I hadn't thought of it. I continue to believe that overconsumption of the wrong kinds of foods is causing real problems, though. A concern I have is that by offering more of this kind of choice, people are subjected to more pressure to choose one of these options over better ones.
You make another point that intrigues me. Maybe the problem is no longer the standard fare that is offered, but all the junk that goes with it. If people just ate hamburgers or maybe even chicken, but without the cola and chips and other extras, there wouldn't be a problem. That is worth considering.
A burger I can make to a similar look and feel to BK or McD should be a bit better in that no one has added salt and sugar to liven it up, those extras are as you suggest, the worst. Fish N Chips, its all the worst.
How I look at it is
Fast Food is fast food. It can be fatty, salty and MSG laden. It can also be relatively standard fare meat and veges made to a standard size/recipe = efficient and not bad news.
Junk Food, needs no explaining.

You're brave!
I think that could work as long as the tax isn't just used as a source of revenue like cigarette tax is. Revenue from cigarette tax vastly exceeds healthcare costs it generates. And I say this as someone who vehemently hates cigarette smoke.
Any tax revenue should be directed back into education, helping people into healthy activities and habits etc.
There, consider yourself boots on assaulted!
At least you're not accusing me of trolling.

True, you've got a better chance of basing a definition on nutritional hard numbers to define "unhealthy" rather than "fast" - amount per serving of saturated fat, carbs and sodium?
Pita Pit salads are fast food but a reasonably healthy choice as are some McD salads etc.

Yep, Fast Food is often percieved as Junk Food. Two different terms that can overlap, but not always. If the most healthiest possible meal was sold from a shop where you walk in and order it, and its ready in 5 minutes that's fast food. So is a Double Down KFC burger. One though, is junk food

I have decided to modify my criticism. I am no longer opposed to fast food. Not all fast food is bad. My issue is with junk food only. Even that has a place, but it needs to be carefully defined.

I don't believe that's quite true. There must be some people who like tacos but don't like burgers or fried chicken or fish & chips. Those people constitute a potential increase in the fast food market when TB arrives.
There must also be people who want fast food food but don't currently want any of thecurrently available non-TB fare. Before TB, they'd have to go home and make their own meal. Now they can buy TB. They're also a potential increase in the market.
So, if TB arrives, they will mostly steal customers from KFC and McD and the rest, but they will also increase the amount of FF people eat.
Yeah there'll be people out there who don't like bread or carbs who might like TB.
Never been in a TB so have no opinion on their food but OMG I love fish tacos made with fresh caught snapper!
Rikkitic has a point regarding advertising. I remember McDonald's sponsored soccer when I was younger, so youngsters would associate their brand with a healthy activity. When I would win player of the day, I would win a free cheeseburger. The Make It Click advertising also linked the brand with a positive message and even shows the car driving to a McDonald's restaurant. Both of these occurred in the early 2000s.

Got a receipe ? Never tried a fish taco - sounds kinda alien ... but I do like tacos with the other meats (beef, chicken, pork, etc)

Just get some fresh snapper gougons, dip in beaten egg then dip in seasoned flour and fry lightly in olive oil. Plonk into a soft or hard taco with the usual other stuff (esp mayonnaise).
