Yes the IPL was a lottery, poor Boult being after a $2m bidding war, while the dust settled he went cheap. Lots of leg spin being bought, particularly Afghanistan producing amazing spin bowlers including the u19 guy who decimated us in this world cup, going for near $2m and another 16yo went for id $600k. Very tough group. Good for them. Didnt leave any room for Ish Sodhi and Santners group he went for rock bottom price of $100k, they had more room but shows how tight it is. You can be the best team and even the best bowler in the world but with IPL there is no Rhyme or Reason. Dale Steyne didnt get sold.
