I think taking it apart will be a bit above my head, as the phone seems specifically designed not to let me in. The only screw I could find is neither Philips nor flatedge, but rather would fit a three-pointed screwdriver. Basically I wouldn't know where to begin. So I suppose the phone is destined for the label "GOOD FOR PARTS".
The most important thing to do when a electronic device gets water logged, is to immediately and I mean immediately remove all power sources. Rip the battery out as if it was blocking your lung. Water, copper tracking and a ready source of electons causes electrolisys and with that metal migration which in a few minutes, seconds even, and will destroy the ulta fine tracks on boards and minute pins on IC's.
Many devices have extra lithium cells or super caps that keep SRAM alive while the battery is out, unless these are also removed then you are back to square one. Normally these electron sources are not easily removed by the owner/user, or in this case abuser.
Once you have removed all power sources then drying in a HW cupboard will work, dipping in Isoprop will also help, dont forget that the PCB's are normally washed in Isopro after assembly to remove excess flux etc, so the electronics wont mind, but sometimes the case plastics might come off worse for wear.

Paradoxsm has been PMing me. He managed to pinpoint the problem was the keypad, which ultimately solved the problem after soaking the whole phone failed.
