Well, I feel sorry for everyone who is still having problems, but for the most part it's fixed on my end. Https works fine as far as loading webpages goes, haven't tried to download anything over it. Steam works fine, I can log in and play games again, and download updates at around 30kB/s. Torrents get up to around 120kB/s. Off peak everything flies.

The only problems I have are streaming video that's not from Youtube or Vimeo, and downloading via http, which is fine since I have a program not too dissimilar to tor, which gives me between 40-60kB/s instead of the 4-6 I would otherwise be getting.

I do wonder though how what I find acceptable is far worse than what others in this thread have been threatening to leave the plan over. Go figure.

Logged on today and games are still unplayable. Had 15% packet loss for a few tests, which is about 15% from acceptable. Must be fun to screw with people?

Crucius: Could you check if that browser your using will stream content off Justin.tv, or Ustream? That is really my only problem with bigtime, everything else i can live with..

TVNZ is working perfectly at 700K now with the video I test it with. But for everything else it is normal. I cleared my cache/cookies to make sure but Police Ten 7 works great over "Corronation Street" or "Packed to the Rafters".

Ventrilo....Is usless.

Fast TVNZ, that will probably be due to the recent Telecom - FX networks peering/interconnection agreement.

It finally means there is a local NZ route to CityLink (who host tvnz on demand) for Telecom customers, instead of going to the US mirror for it.

I just tested tvnzondemand (never use it generally) and it couldnt even manage 300k, usual streaming issues, 30 second load for a split second of footage.

Edit: Just did a tracert to tvnzondemand.co.nz with some interesting results.

tracert tvnzondemand.co.nz

It goes all the way to 30 timing out... Probably why i cant watch a video on there! Even just pinging tvnzondemand times out, where as i can ping any other site without a problem.
I looked up tranzpeer.net which is owned by callplus! how do they fit into the equation? and why is 202.180.81.5 a 352ms jump, when it is also tranzpeer.. hop to the US, where it then gets lost? lol

for those who might be interested, WoW works fine on BT for the last week or two, 170-230ms is pretty much what u got over 7000m. that only applies to LA based servers. everything else is not playable.

9 pm. torrent going at around 120-200kb/s, http at around 400kb/s
