The new XT Network is going to be the best thing since sliced bread for mobile phones!

Greater coverage, faster internet, the lastest in Handsets and has all competitors shaking in their boots!

I suggest everyone get on board when it is launched, because if you dont, you will be left behind.....

Fact - Vodafone has 60% mobile coverage in NZ
Fact - Telecom as 97% mobile coverage in NZ

Why do you think Vodafone are pushing their advertising more than before?

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Incorrect. Both Vodafone and Telecom advertise 97% coverage.

You might be referring to Vodafones current 3G network, which has less coverage but will improve with their 900mhz wcmda network.

[Removed personal attacks]

Vodafone 3G coverage foot print I would say is well over 85% of the population in the next 3 to 4 weeks it will reach 97%

mjb: only 3 posts, I put money on a Telecom employee :)

I doubt it. Telecom is very strict about their participation on Geekzone and there are rules - they know better than losing their jobs ( as it happened before).

As in "I put my money on a Telecom employee" the fact is that more than once I blocked an IP address to find out later it was a Vodafone proxy. The latest was a couple of days ago when a Vodafone employee decided to troll the other XT Network topic.

No, I doubt it - we know pretty much where people come from, the signals, etc...

As I only need a phone for voice and text 2G does me. You can bet you will be paying a premium for data pricing.

97% of the population? Hahaha..... It is funny.... Probably by the end of 2010 Vodafone will have that REAL coverage. I have waited for so long. I won't be patient any more. I'm so happy that telecom finally gone to Gsm. Having been with telecom for 2 years, the network has been up 99% of the time with strong 3g signal. Very happy with telecom, to be honest. Now I have a iPhone, I regret going back to Voda so much. With worse than dial up speed, I wanna smash my iPhone. Will buy a new phone the first day of its launch of xt. Can't wait!!!! And it took me 10 minutes to load the pages and 10 minutes to write this post on geekzone!!!
