MikeHales: That is correct, you will continue to receive just can't send from old email

So does that mean you're not going to relax your SPF records?

MikeHales:

@goosey Apologies, you should receive an email within the next couple of days, which will contain a personalised link to create forwarding for each email address you have.

@rayonline You should get an email Monday.

Any other questions, feel free to mention me and I'll address them for you.

I've not received an email yet - or else it was marked Spam and purged - so today I phoned up the published number for this shutdown (0800 935 097) to ask for it to be re-sent. I was told by the lady that the emails are being sent out in batches, and not all batches have yet been sent.

What's the actual story, Mike? Should all emails have gone out by now, and if we don't have ours - we need to call in?

Two of those important messages were saved. The first forwarding 'set up' link that I tried then failed immediately onscreen with 'Invalid email address'.

Same result when I clicked the link however I emailed and they have said can sort manually (just linked what had sent me). They did note that when it changes everything in the folders and webmail access will go so do a clean out/forward first.

My emails from VF were in my spam folder....crazy and pathetic.

So I set up my forwarding address on Sunday. Tomorrow morning, should I expect to see my emails go to my gmail.com account?

As a matter of interest, how will Forwarded emails be identified when received into a new mail box, viz. the usual header saying ...'on behalf of ...', or similar? Something different to suit these particular circumstances?

?????? what is this headline???

Vodafone customers are in the dark over whether they can terminate their fixed-term broadband contracts when the company turns off its email service at the end of November.

Email is free, now some want to exclude Voda because a free service is being stopped?

Over the top, there is too much its all about me these days. I want it for free, I want everything and I want it now.

Maybe Vodafone can credit the last 20 years email fees as a goodwill gesture. Who would operate a business these days with all this over entitlement.
