Anyone know if the e-mails regarding forwarding are still in the process of going out? Even though there is plenty of time before it's cut off, I've got my parents harassing me wanting me to get it setup ASAP but the e-mail for their old ihug e-mail address hasn't come through yet.

I could just block their texts on my phone temporarily instead as a temp fix. Heh.

If they should have received it by now, what to do?

I received the email yesterday on my ihug account.

Ugh.

I'll give it a few more days before I actively look into what to do if an e-mail hasn't come through, since there is no need for the forwarding to be setup immediately and chances are the emails are still in the process of going out and they've just been placed at the very back of the queue.

I just got some spam from Choice Technology re the email closure titled "Email account closure - 30 Nov", trying to sell me a domain name, or setting up a business-class G Suite account along with offering to migrate my email archive to G Suite. Interesting that they got hold of my Clearnet address seeing as I've never used it anywhere.... wonder if my 3 Paradise addresses will cop it too.

I am suprised Vodafone and Google couldn't automate a change over system.

Select all accounts active in the last 6 months, extract out email name, firstname, Surname, Password.

Generate a new account at Google with those parameters looped through.

Add in a redirect to that account.

Done. Mail out the new Gmail account to users and get them to log into it.

That assumes everybody wants a gmail address. There are plenty of people for very good reasons who would not want all of their email hosted with Google.

I just logged into my Paradise webmail to see if I got the email. I don't use this address and would have last accessed it probably a year ago.

I was surprised to not see anything.. but did manage to find it eventually. The email from Vodafone is in the spam folder. #fail

Q:  Once forwarding has been setup and active, and then subsequent emails using Clear address has dropped to nil, can a cease or delete account order be given?

Presumably all the recent spam and junk will still come down the VF/Clear line until all forwarding has been stopped?

Or do that, but send out an opt in email, with a choice of services, and instructions if you do not opt in.

Sorry for the slight tangent, but speaking of Vodafone shutting down services - is the calling card service (ex-Telstra Clear) still going? Or is that set to go soon too?

I got one for an old Clear account I didn't know I had. SPF and DKIM fail on the email... It got sent to Spam:

Fail...
