lokeynz:

I've got a parcel lost in the US warehouse somewhere as well.

Amazon tracking shows it delivered on the 9th, raised it with Youshop last week and was told they would check with the warehouse and advise.
Didn't hear back so emailed them again this morning and was told:

"Our warehouse have located your parcel and will assign it to your account, however they require the merchant invoice in a PDF format with the value so they can declare the parcel as yours."

Seems a bit odd considering the box and packing slips are addressed to me and I've given them the tracking number for it... not sure who else they think it could belong to.

A second part of the same order was delivered to the warehouse on the 12th and entered into my account on the 13th so they don't appear to be completely backlogged.

I've ordered several things direct from Amazon lately, and they don't have packing slips or anything like that.  Just a box with Amazon logo.   While I wouldn't have been over the GST limit with all these packages, it would have been close, and I was wondering how customs could tell anyway.

It sounds to me like they want to declare the value for customs and the value isn't on the packages.  When was the last time anyone got a PDF invoice?  What a crock.  I'd take a screenshot of the information and send that.

Parcel found, 9 days after delivery. Thank goodness.

Also my UK parcels have started showing up in the system, bit of a pain though because they're all labelled as "UNKNOWN EBAY SELLER" which means I have zero clue which one is which, so I don't really know what to put down as the value. Kinda winging it by parcel size and weight, but it would be nice if they put seller details there so I can tick off which ones have arrived.

I think YouShop have botched my package.

I had a package delivered to their warehouse in Portland on the 14th December by USPS, but its been a week (today) since it was 'received by agent', yet its not appearing in my account. Its a big package (but well within their limits), so I'm confused why it hasn't registered in my YouShop account.

I had a similar package delivered to YouShop Portland on the 13th December, and it was entered almost immediately into my account, so I don't know what the story is.

YouShop doesn't seem to be replying to my enquiries and after 33 minutes on the phone wanting to speak to someone this morning, I was hit with an automated message saying their system is overloaded and was hung up on.

Patience or perseverance? I'm not sure what I should do.

Thats probably good advice. I'll wait a few more days until I hit the panic button.

Youshop isn't an express service. They've been reliable for me, and reasonably prompt. Given the volume of packages they probably handle delays and problems are probably a very small percentage.

If you really want reliable and prompt use ShipItTo and one of the big courier firms. I've used their service only once but I was impressed.

I'm waiting on my last parcel to consolidate my US youshop items, and for some reason the consolidated parcel cost just jumped up $39, with nothing changing or being added! Why on earth would that happen?

I have almost the exact same problem with USPS and Youshop.

My tracking says

December 7, 2016 , 9:32 am

Delivered, To Agent

PORTLAND, OR 97203

Youshop customer support are trying to say that agent is someone in USPS and

not Youshop. They lost my package inside their building and then after I had

waited and paid for other parcels to be consolidated it turns up the next day,

when I know it is in their building. It has happened like this to me three times.

My parcel turned up, but only after I rang the YouShop direct dial line on 0800736348.

My mistake was ringing the 0800 501 501 general number, which after several calls, got me nowhere. The direct dial number got me connected quickly to someone (NZ based) who rang through to the warehouse, who then found my parcel and actioned it. Thing is, that direct dial number isn't readily associated with YouShop...

Anyway, all good.

My parcel arrived in youshop according to tracking on the 2nd of December. I received notice of it in my account this morning (28th) and according to both the seller and youshop it had all the correct information on it, so lord knows how it managed to get lost. Bloody big parcel too.

So it shows up in my account 26 days later and it costs a bundle too. Darn it, youshop...

Where did you dig that 0800736348 number up from as a direct line to Youshop?

0800 SEND IT / 0800 736 348 is the phone number for NZ Post's International/Customs team. I suspect it isn't their recommended contact method, but definitely worth trying if the YouShop team doesn't respond to their contact form.

I'll give it a call myself in a few days if my latest UK item doesn't show soon - according to their tracking it had its international departure before Christmas, but has yet to arrive in New Zealand. I expected delays over the holiday period, but am impressed by the fact that it's obviously on a plane that's able to stay in the air for over ten days :)

Regular YouShop users, when you use YouShop does NZ Post automatically send your parcel via Customs (or otherwise charge the GST/duty) if the value you specify is over the threshold for GST/duty? Or is it a matter of luck, like it seems to be when you have something shipped directly from overseas?

If you hit the customs threshold using YouShop, it'll definitely be enforced and you'll be charged.

Also prepare to have your item opened and inspected. Happens every time.
