While I have no way of testing this (as I am on TelstraClear cable), HostingDirect is running a crazy price VDSL2 promotion these days.

For full disclosure, I found about this link when we received an advertisement order (which you'll probably see around Geekzone from later today), but:

1. They did not ask me or paid me to publicise this, so I am doing it for some of you who might be interested
2. There's a bit of history between us and HD, seeing they have been banned before (nothing on the record against their technical ability to deliver though)
3. People discussed about HD VDSL2 service last month and seem to like it.

So there it is. Take it or leave it.

I know we will be running the ads through the end of the month. But can't confirm the promotion dates, sorry. You will have to contact them. If you find out more, post here.

I'm hoping to move to a VDSL2 capable area in the near future in order to take advantage of these kind of deals.

Don't forget to add gst on to prices. Right at very bottom of web page, no where near the prices at the top.

Overage charge very good.

Guessing still have to pay landline cost on top of the $100 one (excluding gst). If use around 100gigs or more then very good deal.

Very keen on this deal the flat rate for exceeding 100gb per month is very reasonable

Snap has caught my eye too and Trustpower (who I am currently with) have been amazing for ADSL2 so I would consider paying slightly more to stay with them if they had such a good flat rate.

Out of interest does anyone know if the snap unlimited Youtube addon would be applicable for both streaming and uploading? I upload around 100gb per month to youtube currently so it would be a massive deal breaker for me

It covers uploads too, another thing of which it covers is uploads / downloads to almost any Google hosted site - I managed to upload my 200ish/gb of music to Google Music the other week without it counting to my cap.

Anyway, this is off topic.

200Gb of music? You own all that? Or do Google not care? Isn't G Music USA only?

Does it actually say anywhere how long the price applies for. eg after a few months, can they raise the price?
I am tempted to suggest to my brother as he is in a vdsl area and had enough of his ISP after billing problems.

He may have his stuff in a lossless audio formats like FLAC which is about 5-10MB per minute.
