Come on cut them some slack. They are obviously not a native speaker and it does seem to be a legitimate problem.

Their writing, while not grammatically correct is still very readable.

I dunno about you guys... But I would normally agee with Gehanna... he's a moderator after all ;)

What happens if you take the phone into a Telecom store.

I haven't looked up your IMEI as my wife has barred me from my computer...

The network ID code is different on Skinny.

I have heard that some iPhones from Vodafone are not working with 2degrees sim cards. Apparently it is not an issue with the phones themselves and they are not network locked (confirmed by Apple). I'm not sure if it's just that some 2degrees sims are faulty or not provisioned correctly but it might pay to try it with a different 2degrees sim.

This may be something that is isolated to Vodafone but it sounds like a similar situation.

Similar but not quite what I was referring to. What I was referring to is a different situation where some iphones (new, not warranty swap outs) are incompatible with 2degrees sim cards for some reason, despite being unlocked. At a guess I would say it has something to do with the carrier bundle firmware but I don't know enough about it to say for sure.

It may not be related to this though as it could just be a more isolated case. But I just brought it up in case it was relevant.

I can only confirm the phone was dispatched from Telecom / Brightstar warehouse. I cant confirm if this phone was destined for Skinny. iPhone's sold through the Telecom channel are not SIM locked.

I would contact Skinny on 0800 475 4669 and supply them your IMEI just to check it wasnt supplied by them or locked.

If not I would contact faults on 120 to log a case and get someone to attend to it.
