I have taken a pic of the comms cabinet in the house, looks to me like the fibre cable is already there and just needs the ONT, I think?

Pics look like there is an Enable Fibre leadin with the red duct. Could be wrong, apologies if I am

I've never seen Enable use the red duct inside a building, only outside. That said, I've never seen red Coax either! Not sure what's going on here

If it's in Pegasus, probably very likely, I would imagine?

Pegasus is HFC only. No fibre optic.

It was built that way and exclusive to telstra saturn "back in the day". Up until 4 years ago there wasnt even a Spark/Telecom mobile tower there... as everything was exclusive to VF.     SKY was even a hard thing to get due to covenants on where a sat dish could be i.e. nothing could be in sight from the street and your fences couldnt be over a certain height.

Would like to know what the red cable is.

Any more pics of the red cable?

The latest is that as I suspected it is definitely fibre and not HFC, fibre has been laid in some of the newer areas of Pegasus but i still can't get a difintive answer as to when or if I will get connected. I have spoken to many people at Vodafone and a lot who say they will call me back but never do. Just so frustrating and I was told today they have done a site check to confirm its fibre and they are waiting for the team who will be installing it for me to get back to them with a date so they can then tell me! In the meantime I do have my Vodafone TV box which arrived yesterday sealed

Looks like a fibre microduct..... from Enable.

Out of curiosity, have your put your address into the Enable address checker or Chorus address checker?

There’s no fibre in Pegasus last time I checked but did hear rumour parts of it were now being laid
But maybe at the junction of such streets it was tapped back into the hfc.

Pegasus is a real dog. In my last job I set up a cell fi unit in a particular business just to get a decent spark mobile signal.... it helped the locals in the small area at the shops as well (as it was a booster).

The quote from chorus came in at $100k to run a copper dsl line from the highway....so cellfi was it!

Update - Success!!

I am now connected, and got my fibre. It took a bit of getting through to speak to the people who knew the situation at Vodafone but once I did they were really good to deal with and I am very grateful. Thank you to all those who commented, and or helped.
