THe Mad Butcher seems to have taken a liking to the domain.  I'm guessing it is probably a marketing thing...But if it works out well, we might see a lot of other kiwi businesses take on the domain.  I would have argued that it was too long, people will get it wrong...etc...But I guess if enough people get on-board and it becomes a common thing it might take off!

I am considering getting my business name under .kiwi just to re-direct it to the .co.nz.

I got our .kiwi domain name only to prevent someone else using it, and will do that same redirection.  In reality it will never be used, as we won't market the .kiwi domain name unless it gains mind-share (if that a correct term).
