I just purchased a Nissan Liberty station wagon and part of the dashboard is in Japanese.  Can anyone help me translate?

Thank you so much!

Thank you so much.  I'm beginning to piece it together.  Do you know the what the other buttons mean?  I have also attached another screen to see if you can help me make heads or tails of this.

Thanks again!

If youre trying to work out if theres anything you can use in the system, for NZ, its pretty much no. Will be an NTSC unit, the GPS wont work.....  some do have video inputs so you could in theory connect an external AV unit (portable DVD player for example) but thats about it :(

Not region free and no way to make them region free limits the playback to disks you write yourself. Some cars are not setup for playing 50Hz disks and just show a flickering rolling picture.

Friend gave up and just pulled the factory dropdown screen out of his car and replaced it with a standalone one that took useful media like SD cards with xvid encoded cartoons on it. There did not appear to be any tappable analog video signal between the headdeck and the flipdown screen that could have been hijacked with another feed.

I think he had to pull a board out of the old screen to keep the dome light working normally as that was integrated somewhat into the screen.

I have the same issue with a touch screen in my Alphard.

There's def a business opportunity for someone to do 'home translation visits'!

Only for the owner to be told in the end "but you cant actually use any of it in NZ"

Not all. Even my radio instructions etc are in Japanese!

I would replace mine but it has all the charging displays for the hybrid system (annotated in Japanese!) and doubles as the screen for the reversing and blind spot cameras.

The radio is ess aitch one tee - poor reception  and bad at holding frequencies despite a band expander.

Sadly the Alphard Hybrid has never officially been sold in an English speaking market so I could not even track down one and swap!
