I arranged to transfer my landline from Vodafone to Spark. I was told it could be done without a technician coming to the house.  At the arranged time on 2 Feb Spark disconected the Vodafone line (or arranged to Vodafone to do it) but didn't connect the line to Spark.  When I rang Spark they said in fact a technician was required, and the first possible date was 11 Feb, which leaves me without a phone for 9 days.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make Spark move faster ?

I would ask to escalate the request to a manager when you call back. Be polite but firm.

Top tip for the future: don't use a landline for phone calls. Use mobile instead, or VoIP, and avoid all this BS

Are you in Wellington, Kapiti Coast or Christchurch on the old "Saturn" or TelstraClear network?

When we went from TelstraClear to Telecom I had to reconnect the copper at the demarc as the Saturn installers cut the incoming Telecom cable.
