Just purchased a Patton Smartlink Micro - ATA to setup with Open VFX

Have entered the following details: (On the Telephony - Phone 1 page)

User Information
Phone Number ********
CallerID Name ********
User Name **************
Password ●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●
Port 5060

SIP Registration statusError: Forbidden

All details used were the settings provided by Xnet

And on the Telephony -  SIP page entered the following:

SIP Server Settings (Current Server: pan.wxnz.net : 5060 ; Domain: Belkin; Base RTP Port: )

* SIP Registration Server Address: pan.wxnz.net
(IP or FQDN)

SIP Port:
SIP Domain:
Voice Port:

* Leaving a setting blank will force the unit to use the information obtained via DHCP and/or DNS

(I left SIP Port:, SIP Domain:, Voice Port:, blank)

Send Registration Request with Expire Time: 20 (Ticked)

Send Unregistration at boot (Unticked)

Send SUBSCRIBE. (Unticked with data entry field limited to approx 50 characters) so are unable to enter the registration string provided by Xnet due to their long username/passwords??

SUBSCRIBE Server IP or FQDN(defaults to registration server):

Where have I gone wrong?

I still get the SIP Registration status Error: Forbidden

Additional details are as follows:

Router: DLINK 302-G (Previously an Xtra Telecom connection - just changed over to Xnet)
This is using the xtra firmware and on the 10.1.1.1

Wireless/Switch: Belkin N1 Vision which is on the 192.168.2.5 network.

Have the router providing internet to the Belkin and sharing/wifi etc works throughout the network on any device (so assumed this wouldn't restrict the ATA)?

Hope someone can point me in the right direction and that it is an easy solution.

Cheers

Ecks

You may want to change your registration timer as well to 180 seconds

Hey Maverick

Everything was working fine on the line until they ported the number from Telecom.

Even though have received an email this morning from Xnet stating the porting was complete the line is now dead and giving the registration error - is there a setting I need to change since the porting has been complete?  My guess is it will eventually change over by itself...

Cheers

You probably need to update your phone number in your config. Since you now have a new number it needs to be updated - with a managed device WxC just generate a new config file for the device.
