hi team

the screen on my phone has gone awol . so am backing up my phone book and ringers etc.

i connected my sanyo 7400 and connected the usb cable and download the drivers to the pc.. fine says installed.

when i ran the latest version of bitpm, it says couldnt detect phone so i just manually selected mm 7400 in the phone model
dropdown list and "auto" for com port..

i can transfer the phonebook and ringers fine. i was wanting to back all my text messages i had . but when i select data on menu
and go to "get phone data" i noticed sms was greyed out. how do fix this?

any ideas anyone? i want to view the messages ive received since the screen died and then send the phone to be fixed.

check with www.pccard.co.nz about whether their 'datapilot' software can achieve what you need, or talk to 'jpwise' on these forums...

(He lurks on the CDMA forum anyway, so I would expect to see a response from him on Monday, assuming he hasnt run off to another messageboard somewhere...)

I do tend to lurk, but I don't always check for new messages.

With regard to the SMS side of things Datapilot can't do SMS backup on the 7400 currently either.  The features are usually improved with each version, but sms isn't there quite yet.

Thx.
Jp.

I can transfer text messages from my Sanyo 9000 to Bitpm using the Sanyo 8100 Bitpm profile. APT have some great Sanyo drivers. I couldn't get the Sprint Sanyo drivers to work.

Heyas jama

ive got datapilot and managed to get my phone book off my 7400, but it wont detect my sanyo 9000 so i can send em all
back on there. ive messaged jpwise to see if he can help also.

where did you get the sanyo 9000 usb driver from? i got the latest datapilot v1.3 which supports the sanyo9000 , but maybe
because im still using the original apt drivers, which is why both bitpm and datapilot wont detect my 9000?

ill get there eventually, in the meantime i manually typed in 100 contacts back into my 9000, i dont think i want to do that
ever again :-(

Thanks for any help folks :-)
