Our Galaxy spa pool circuit board and control panel is fried due to a massive power surge. Galaxy spas has gone into receivership and can’t get hold of anyone there. The controller is a SPA tech which I can only see online in Aussie. Can you use an alternative circuit board are they genetic like pcs?. It’s under insurance claim but the electrician is not sure how to source a new circuit board. If they cant source one locally does the insurance company need to pay out the replacement value?.

Pictures and part numbers of the spa and failed board might help.

Sorry it’s one of these, guess is it my responsibility to track down parts overseas or the insurance company or sparky. I know I could order one but not sure if I should be sourcing parts

if you are replacing the controller and heating unit,
You can go with any pretty much I believe.

www.thespashop.co.nz in Rotorua should be able to help you,
or if you want to get from overseas www.loveyourhottub.com.

i replacesd mine about 8 years ago (wow, has it been that long already!)
I couldn't get the original replacement for my Lesurite, so I went for a Balboa GS501Z, which went in with a few minor changes to piping layout.
Back then, the full kit, including a replacement 'touch panel' cost me around $1200 I Believe

cheers
Conc.

Cool will give them a ring and see what the options are. There seems to be good replacement options for Balboa , I’m happy with the spa it’s only damaged as a boy racer took out a transformer around the corner and it fried it .
