That's an idealist russian, the way the world is going, a common enemy is going to unite everyone - at the moment that's those bad guys in Syria (and everywhere else that's infiltrated).

I get the feeling that Bannon sees the "common enemy" as Islam and secularism, but that Russian neo-fascist Dugin saw the common enemy as liberal America - which it sought to weaken. So far that's going very well.
He describes Western notions of “human rights, anti-hierarchy and political correctness” as “the face of the beast, the anti-Christ”.

“Incredibly beautiful – one of the best moments of my life.” - Dugin's comment about Trump's inauguration.

Dugin's influence on Putin is disputed. Bannon's influence on Trump is absolute - because Trump is an egomaniac moron - and Bannon put him where he is.

Origin of "the story" seems to be Breitbart. Scary IMO that a POTUS would use a CT / alt:right "news media" organisation to stay informed.

Breitbart feeding Trump news to provoke his paranoid/delusional tendencies is almost cruel.

Might be prompted by 'On the Media's' podcast story about how the Obama administration scrambled before the handover to leave as many breadcrumbs as possible about Russian interference in the election so that the truth could be found. Or by desperation to deflect from the whole Russian thing and/or emoluments stories (i.e. China paying Trump millions for Tower space) Whatever has him hot under the collar that's a lot of tweets within minutes of each other.

Also Trump has decided to roll back tailpipe emissions standards for the auto industry.

The Russia thing won't go away.

I'm wondering if Trump is waking up to the fact that Putin is not his friend and never was.

If he manages to see that, then he might also see how he's been played by Bannon and the alt:right - and stop blaming Obama, Clinton etc for the deep pile of crap he's put himself in, and the threat that poses to the world.
