Washington Post Fact Checker (as at 31 July 2018)
President Trump has made 4,229 false or misleading claims in 558 days: That’s an overall average of nearly 7.6 claims a day.
For the president’s first 100 days, he averaged 4.9 a day. In June and July, the president averaged 16 claims a day.
What if Hillary Clinton had won the election and said the same things?
- Imagine if Hillary Clinton had won the election.
- Imagine if the Russians had hacked into Trump’s campaign to get Clinton elected.
- Imagine Clinton then said she didn’t believe the hacking had anything to do with the election and called the reporting of it “fake news.”
- Imagine if Clinton had then cozied up to Putin and dissed our oldest and most valued allies in Europe.
- Imagine if a special counsel’s investigation into all this netted more than two dozen indictments and numerous guilty pleas, and Clinton called it a “witch hunt.”
- Imagine if Clinton went to Helsinki and took the side of the Russian strongman over America’s own intelligence agencies and Department of Justice.
- Imagine you then found out that Clinton was provided intelligence-agency proof of the meddling weeks before her inauguration, and proof as well at Putin had ordered it.
Would you still forgive the lies?

High-profile political donor’s push to impeach ‘corrupt’ US president Donald Trump
Tom Steyer is on a mission to overthrow the “most corrupt president” in history. With $1.6b behind him, he might pull it off.
Donald Trump has his fair share of critics - but perhaps none quite so powerful as Tom Steyer.
And unfortunately for the divisive United States President, the billionaire hedge fund manager and activist is on a serious mission to end his political career.
Mr Steyer founded the multimillion-dollar Need to Impeach campaign - a movement solely focused on calling out Mr Trump’s alleged “corruption” and bringing him to justice.
The group is convinced there’s enough evidence for an impeachment, and if successful, it could become the biggest political scandal of our times.

You keep thinking this can't go on, something has to give pretty soon. I hope it is soon. I don't know how much more I can take.
There are so many horrible scenarios I can think of and the number just keeps growing. One of the things that has kept America from the brink in spite of a powerful military has been the traditional strong apolitical stance of that military. Yet now we see older high-ranking officers and former officers denouncing Trump and effectively taking sides. Will younger officers maintain discipline or will they also take sides? I can see youthful gung-ho types lining up behind Trump while more conservative traditional officers feel impelled to defend the old values. A split like this really could mean the end of American democracy. I hope it doesn't happen. Lt. Col. Peters scares the hell out of me.

Now Trump does not want to go ahead with the Mueller interview because he's afraid of a "perjury trap".
Perhaps not lying would be a good way of not falling into that?

So, how does Cohen and Manafort and Mueller affect Trump after today? A workmate tells me its all over, Trump is as good as in jail, but I assume it would take a lot of time and legal back and forth for that to occur? "I should have read all the document, I didnt read this and so on"
