Hi,

I've got a Pioneer receiver for listening/watching Blu rays but never really find it great for the Stereo listening option on the discs. I have put rca's going from my blu ray player to my integrated amplifier to get good 2 channel sound.

I have banana plugs for my speakers and disconnect them for listening through the amplifier or receiver as I prefer the intergrated for music and receiver for movies and TV.

Blu ray is Panasonic BD 60 and Amplifier is Cambridge Audio 651 A.Hopefully this makes sense.

Thanks

I imagine unplugging the banana plugs will get tiresome quickly ... especially as the will be at the rear of the equipment.

Hasnt your BD player got both HDMI and Optical out as options?

Are you saying you have a reciever and also a seperate stereo amplifyer source?

Why not simply use the line level output from the reciever (if it has one), to drive the line level input of the amplifyer, thus eveything you have is connected to the reciever and the audio is being then routed to the amplifyer.

(of course you would want to ensure the reciever audio processor settings are all "0" / flat EQ etc and control the EQ from the amplifyer.

Does that make sense?  (i wouldnt suggest trying to do this unless you are confident on the 'line levels' and things such as trying to avoid over driving each device (including mis matching impedance).

it's easy to hook integrate your stereo amp with your avr.
