A little xmas kudos to Vodafone and their staff. I had an issue with a cellphone that i pay for that resides elsewhere in Auckland and their was some unauthorized use on that phone that resulted in a cost to me and lets just say that Vodafone were very generous in their assistance. So Kudos to Vodafone.

Rather than start another thread about my support experiences (I'm sure everyone is sick of them by now! ;) ), thought I'd chuck something on the end of this one to promote a positive Vodafone interaction.

Got my latest bill which had numerous mistakes (not made any easier by the fact that it was a plan change and so credits and debits were scattered all over the place). Phone up Vodafone expecting to have to argue & convince the CSR that it was wrong.

First up put a request in for a callback and call was returned well within the hour window. Secondly the CSR I talked with was excellent and took time to listen to my issues, didn't try and argue that I had overpaid for anything, and generally was very pleasant. (My case was probably helped due to the person who changed my plan over documented our discussions clearly)

So thanks Vodafone for a great interaction - if only all of them were so good :)

I figured I needed to balance my comments of compliments to complaints - bit of a way to go though perhaps :D

Replace 'vodafoneNZ' with [insert brand name here] and you've described just about any page on Facebook where there are representatives actually responding to posts. ;-)

I would like to add some compliments. Recently my 12 month contract was up, and I renewed on satisfactory terms with a very efficient and pleasant process. As part of that I was encouraged to replace my old digital TV decoder for a T-box. I did that with enormous misgivings, as I was part of the initial Telstra-Clear batch of T-box users, and had enough of being in a testing programme for 2 years (and more importantly the WAF was zero!), so downgraded to the old digital TV decoder. After 4 weeks of using the T-box, I am relieved to say it is like another machine. No reboots required, no dropped recordings, no freezing - it just works. And the WAF is way up - shows that reliable kit can overcome technophobia. Thanks VF.
