I've recently upgraded my eee-pc from Windows 7 -> Windows 8 CP -> Windows 8. Ever since I've upgraded to Windows 8 (both CP and RTM) my wireless connection has been pathetically slow. My connection will normally max out at about 1.5MB/s. However, on a wireless connection on my netbook it will be <100kb/s most of the time. As soon as I switch to ethernet it will max out again.
I never had this problem on Windows 7 so I don't think it's a hardware problem and my partners laptop (using Windows 7) will also go close to maximum speed.
Has anyone else had this problem? If it isn't a simple fix I'm thinking I might just roll back to Windows 7 as the netbook doesn't have the correct resolution to run metro apps as it is (just a PITA to reformat etc).
I downloaded the latest drivers from the ASUS site but that didn't seem to make a difference. I'm thinking it might be some setting on Windows 8, but I don't really know which one. Any help would be appreciated!
