Hi all

I have been bashing my head to trying to get the Display port to work properly with a active HDMI adapter from Dynamix on a LED TV.

I know the port works as I used a Display port to VGA adapter on a monitor with no issues and I know its not the adapter as it worked on the same monitor with the Display port to HDMI using another computer.

I have updated the drivers on the laptop. The graphics card/adapter is an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator QM67

When I look at the Intel Graphics properties icon recognises there is an external display plugged in but there is nothing showing on the screen (LED TV).  It did work momentarily but the output resolution was very low. When it was working, I plugged the laptop into the external monitor and got HD 720p resolution. But that was a one off, since then I have had no luck.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Am I right to think that maybe the laptop/on-board graphics card is not up to it for displaying via HDMI?

I have tried another Toshiba Tecra R850 with the same result.
